Best Beatles Collectible?

The existing members of the 'hood all look like long-time eBayers, so I'm curious: what's the best Beatles collectible you've ever found, on eBay or otherwise?

I guess mine is a test pressing of the "The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl" album, in an in-house jacket featuring a picture of the Capitol tower. I got it from a relative who worked at Capitol, and it was given to them. I may offer it on eBay some day.

So, what's yours??
Useful Funny
Replica concert tickets. I sell them on ebay.
They are very cool.
Check them out.
Thanks,

I found a copy of Introducing the Beatles with the blank back cover at an antique store in Martinsville, Virginia for one dollar.

i would have to think very carefully.......i would say my john and yoko wedding box (record box set with all inserts), my "interview with a legend" poster (from the tom snyder interview-never have seen it anywhere, it's a drawing of the n.y.c. folded arms pic), and the b&w bearded portrait from rolling stone, the first "lennon remembers" issue, that is framed and has been hanging on every wall, of every place i've lived, since the issue came out.

I have a LOT of Beatles memorabilia, but my absolute favorite is my Lennon autographed copy of "In His Own Write" that I purchased through a New York auction house many years ago. It came with a COA and has been authenticated by 2 different handwriting experts as absolutely genuine, as well as a letter of provenance from the original owner. I paid an insane amount of money for it at the time, but the thought that John had held this book in has hands....well....you know how it is! I'd go hungry before I ever gave this one up! I also have hair, (yes, HAIR), from John and George, nicely framed up, that I bought here on eBay. Paid a LOT for those too, and are they genuine? Well...I sure WANT to believe that they are, and nobody can prove they are NOT, so.....you know how THAT is too, I'll bet! MY most recent Beatles memorabilia is my acquisition of the #22 of 300 Gibson John Lennon Les Paul Jr. reissue. Only 300 were made, and I love having such a low number, #22. Lot of money at list of almost 8K, but I got a good deal at $3300, and it comes with a replica of his New York T-shirt and a limited edition Lennon print from an internationally famous artist, so I really enjoyed adding that to my Beatles guitar collection, even though it really wasn't a guitar John played with The Beatles.. Such a WAY cool vibe when you play these guitars we all grew up seeing in the hands of The Fab Four though, and I own a PILE of those!

Hmmm... I just lately found 2 copies of the very first Canadian pressing of Love Me Do (without the dash and number in the trail off area).

It is not a well known record, unfortunately, but the very first pressing is extremely rare, it has been pressed in quantities of 170-200 copies and sold only 78 copies total, so finding two of them out of the few that probably survived from the 78 originally sold, is practically a miracle!

This is basically the version that was issued in america before all other beatles records in the USA.

My most prized possession is a black and white picture of the Beatles as Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band with all four autographed signatures of the Beatles with the Certificate of Authenticity. I also have strands of hair from all four (4) Beatles originally sold at a Sotheby's Auction House with DNA Certification and Certificate of Authenticity! I also have a large collection of Rare Beatles Books!

Hi The best Beatles collectible I have I guess are the rare photos candid photos we took when we followed them around in the late 60"s and early 70"s. There were no paparazzi"s back then. I guess we were It. I have over 300. My favorite is when I met John and Yoko in NYC in 1971. Connie

concetta-sounds fantastic-what a life ! ever think of publishing those photos?

what's the story with meeting john & yoko in '71? love to hear it.......these days, i think back and realise that i could have just made a bigger effort to go up to nyc regularly, and hopefully have had a sighting of my own......wish i'd done that.....

at least i saw the beatles, that is something that i treasure above all else except my family.....that's a great story in itself!

i found my ticket stub for this concert, about 13 years ago, tucked into an old envelope-amazing! everything else i'd saved (i had it all, every beatle collectable of the time,'63-'70, american and english) my mom threw out, in sept. 1970.

This is easy. My sister had baught a house and discovered a box of beatles records in the attic. She knew I was a beatle collector and called me to tell me about them and that I can have them not thinking they were worth much. When I got there I was amazed to discover that in the box was 30 sealed unpeeled butcher cover albums. I nearly passed out. The previous home owner was a record store owner in the 1960's and 70's. They are now worth a couple hundred thousand dollars. I sold about 20 about 10 years ago and will wait until the beatles are all passed away to sell the rest.

The GREAT Beatles collectibles are the unnoticed items from all over the world that play really well, some of them common, some of them very rare. It's always nice when the two intersect (nothing plays better than a clean copy of the original British black & gold mono PLEASE PLEASE ME LP), but too often, they don't. Some of the great trophies are stinky records.

I have a live recording, taken from the sound engineers' stage on 1/4" reel to reel of the '64 Seattle Show. Given to me by the sound engineer, Karney Barton, legendary Seattle studio engineer/owner. I took engineering classes from him in the early 70's and he told me it sounded like sh** because all you can hear is the intro's and endings because of the screaming girls (and guys I'm sure!). I've long pondered selling copies, though to this date, I've never made copies (I certainly would before I'de sell). Any thoughts from collectors out there what to do with this gem?
