That's terrible, Dee. I'm sorry you got sick. What made you so sick? Are you feeling better now?
Regarding BB, have you ever tried going to CBS.com and watching the previous shows that way? Whenever I miss an episode I just watch it thru the CBS website. It's free, it's easy, and you don't have to have any special kind of hookups or anything. I just click on the link for the show.
You can also read a full re-cap of the show. I'll fill you in on a few things. Mr. Muscle (who won HOH last week) put Dan and the cowboy guy on the block. Mr. Muscle said he wants the cowboy guy off. (I still don't remember everyones names, obviously).
The compitition last night was for food, again. The game was called something Stop Your Whinning. The house was divided into two groups. The players had to fill up wine bottles with wine flowing from a large vat belonging to the opposite group. Part of each time had to plug holes in their vat so the other team wouldn't get much wine to poor into the bottles. The wine streaming from the vats had to be caught in wine glasses, by the way.
The old guy, Jerry, and Renny were on the same team, but they both played well. Their team did lose, though, and are now on slop. The game wasn't nearly as entertaining as the Honey game last week.
During the rest of the game there was some real obvious division amongst houseguests. Can't remember the names but it was amongst all the younger ones. Jerry and Renny didn't seem to be included in the raindeer games which tells me they will probably be staying a couple more weeks. It seems they give tv coverage a little bit more to someone right before they are evicted. If a player is out of the limelight they are generally safe that week.. I could be delusional, too.
Anyway, Dee, take it easy on your stomach. I'm sure you don't need to have that suggested to you, but I do empathize (spelling?). I had food poisening and I was severely sick for about 5 straight days. All I could get down was Pedialite. Water I just threw up!
IMO... there's only two good things we get out of being sick... losing weight, and a finer appreciation for our good health when it returns. Feel better soon,
Gina (oh gawwwwwwd, my cat Frankie just brought a baby snake into the house!) FRANKIE!!!
Thanks Gina, really appreciate the update! Went to the Dr. today and hopefully will be back on my feet in a couple days, so thanks for the concern. Do you live in the country? Where on earth did Frankie get a snake! I would have freaked out! I live on and acreage and I am deathly afraid of snakes!!!! Maybe they stay away, cause they tend to shy away from live -stock, for fear of being trampled! Thank God! Also there is a link called Big Brother 10 Hampster cage and it is a blow by blow of what is going on, on the live feeds, check it out! Dee
Hi Dee - Glad your going to the doctor. And thanks for the Hampster Cage idea. No, I don't live in the country. But I do live on the edge of town (Eugene, Oregon), not far from farm land (1/4 mile maybe). The houses in my neighborhood are mostly on large lots. My next door neighbor has a couple of acres with lots of fir trees and beautiful landscaping. I also tease him and say I live next to a park. This is where my cat got the snake.
This was Frankie's first snake.
I used to be afraid of snakes too. But over the last several years my cats have brought in so many snakes that I just finally got used to them. I've had to pick them up (with newspaper, I'm not that brave) so many times that the scariness just kind of wore off. I will admit that I've never had the cats bring in a big snake. I don't think I could handle that... I'd probably run out of the house to the neighbors for help!
A couple of years ago I woke up to a beautiful morning and walked straight into the kitchen for a glass of water or something. I'm barefoot and sleep is still blurring my vision. As I turn the corner and step into the kitchen a snake is sprawled lazily across the kitchen floor! OHG!!!!!! It was no more than 18 inches or so long but did I ever wake up quick. Urrrrrrrr. And to think that snake was in my house for at least one night, and who knows, maybe days it was crawling around! What if I had stepped on it in the middle of the night!!!
Most of the time since then I've kept the screen doors closed. Before that morning I used to think I didn't want my cats to come to the house and not be able to get in. That was my rational.
Now they usually have to wait for me. This summer is an exception to my rule because I have two young cats (about 1 1/2 year ol' siblings, Frankie and Bella) that I've kept indoors from the time I caught them as tiny little ferrel kittens. They have yearned so badly to go outside (always twittering in the windows and smelling my other cats that get to come in and go).
Over the last couple of weeks I've slowly been letting them out for short periods of time. Frankie caught his first bird over the weekend... a blue jay that I couldn't let Frankie kill (I caught it from Frankie's mouth and let it go).
And today Frankie catches his first snake, which I had to take back from the clutches of his jaws and free it (yukk). Part of my childhood was on a farm with cows and tons of barn and house cats. Guess I never did have to get used to snakes before now! Anyway, take care and talk to you soon. Gina
