Hi bought a large bird swing for a macaw that hangs from ceiling she destroyed it within two days. It was a round swing tied with rope pieces she frayed it so bad didn't want her feet to get caught. Any ideas what safe material I can knot on it for her? Thanks Fran
Hello, I have a CAG at home. My dad made a perch for her one day. He took a 2" X 2" about 2 feet long. Then he drilled holes through the sides. He even got fancy and drilled holes through it at the corners. Then he put 3/4" dowel rods throught the holes and glued them in place. When he was done it resembled a spiral stair case. We hung it from the celing. By itself it was a bit too tipsy. but since we hung it above her cage we attached the base to the top of her cage. Shadow was scared of the new perch in her territory, but once she got used to it, you wouldn't think she could live without it! I hope this helps.
