i got a evinrude 10 hp outboard i need to find the year of it all i have is s/n 10024-01142 where can i find info on it i need to know how to mix the oil in the gas

Funny you should ask... I just bought a boat with that motor on it - and have gone through h3ll trying to find out what it was as ALL tags are gone. You've got a 1962 Sportwin 10HP Evinrude Cut and paste link below into your browser - link for the 60's will take you to a table where lower half shows Evinrudes by serial and the year of manufacture. Check his misc section too - lots of good info and links to other related sites.
