Hello All,

Last time I was here asking questions was Dec 2007. Well, for sure this Christmas I am buying my camcorder.
Thing is I am stumped. I don't know whether to invest the money into getting a camcorder with High Definition and low Optical or High Optical and no High Definition. Of course, I must have it with a Hard Drive. Make sense? Hope so.

I am thinking I will go into a store and ask them to show me what the difference LOOKS like with and without High Definition. I really would like to be able to zoom into a football field, etc. as my son is starting sports and I don't want to miss any part of him. I heard the higher the Optical Zoom the closer in you can zoom.

This is all I need to decide on and I can buy it. Please help. thanks much
