I have been "volunteered" as activity directer at our favorite campground...I am having trouble coming up with fun things for kids to do....PLEASE give me some suggestions. No duck taping the little darlings to the trees...the owner frowned on that idea...haha!
i guess it kind of depends on the age groups and "fun money" available. an easy thing would be a scavenger hunt, with either just a paper list of items to be found, or actual items to be found and returned. making things from natural items found freely in your area is cheap and creative. kids like even simple things like glueing googleey (sic) eyes to special rocks that they hunted and found themselves. (remember pet rocks?) you can make wind spinners with just small sticks, yarn, and fishing spinners. or, you could go higher-tech,and pricyier, and give each kid a small cheap digital camera, have them shoot pix in different catagories, and turn it into a slideshow on a laptop. there are lots of websites for things to do with your kids. you will just have to adapt them to the conditions of your campground. ductape helps....lol
