I saw this Canon 50D with EF 100mm f2.8 lens for a swap.the swap is at swapz.co.uk web site The guy is wanting to swap for a Nikon. Is this canon a good camera?

The 100mm/2.8 is a very specialized macro lens as you may already know. The 50D is a great camera otherwise and is nearly equivalent to the D300, if I may say so. You have to make your judgement based on your needs. Hope this helps.
