I had a Canon A560 when I got started and the one drawback to the PS cams is that they're battery hogs. Invest in several pair of rechargeable batteries. Most chargers will allow you to charge 4 batteries at a time. (Mine was less than $20 and it's quick) Keep batteries in the camera and carry a spare fully charged pair with you when you know you'll be shooting.
