WHAT ARE YOUR CATS NAMES?

We like really unusual names!

Our 15 year old cats name is Mudflap. He was found as a baby under the mudflap of a truck. We normally call him Flapper.

Our 4 year old cats name is Claritin D. When we got her from the rescue center she would not stop sneezing and coughing so we named her after an allergy medicine. We call her Claire.

What are your cat's names??

Useful Funny
Jasmine (my dd name her that)
Little Sh*t (cause he really was when we got him, although not little now)
Grey Girl (that is what we called her at first and it stuck)
Tiny Terror (really was one for a few months, now lovey as heck)
Paco (son was eating tacos when I brought this one home & name him)
Tuxedo aka tux (for about a year, really did look like he had one one)
Pettite Poupette (means little doll, has always been a tiny little girl)
White Paws (has white paws and name stuck since brought home)
Oreos (mixture of black and white fur and I use to love oreos)
Blackie (black cat of course and didn't like his other name)
Nonamie (when first took to vet, they put 'no name' under pet's name and on the way back home we ended up with nonamie for kittie's name)

Shaboo was my previous little one's name that we lost, he could not poop on his own & and one vet had us doing anema's every couple days. Fiance started calling him sh*t butt alot and I didn't care for him doing so, so we settled for Sha-boo in the end...

I like unusual names too but by the time I can figure one out, some of the cats seem to automatically do stuff to make me pick a name on the spot..

PS: I like your kitties names :-)

Not sure how unusual mine are...but how we got them might be lol.
Ebony and Onyx(deceased)-twin brother and sister, identical tuxedos-named them before I got them and the woman described them as mainly black. they weren't lol...but the names stuck. Ebony became Miss Ebbie the princess and Onyx became Big'un since he was about 18lbs compared to his 9 lb sister.

Then we got Colt. he came with the name Kenneth, which we hated, but couldn't think of anything for him (he is pure black). Then we were watching CSI and they mentioned a Colt 45...my boyfriend goes that is it, we will name him Colt, nickname Col-since he is all black. Don't think we ever called him Col lol...Colt and Big Guy since he's about 15lbs.

Then we have Hope Noelle. My boyfriend said if we got another female cat she was to be named Hope-as in "we hope she will be a good cat". She came with the name Noelle, so we combined the two. but she doesn't answer to it, only to "PeaNut". We called her that cause she was sooo small when we got her, she looked like a peanut next to the two other grown cats. The funniest thing about it is, she is the largest of them all now...about 16lbs!!

My cats names are Fonzi and Kramer.
Fonzi is a calico and very moody and bitchy. She is just pure evil but the most beautiful cat I haev ever seen.
Kramer is a funny and weird cat like Kramer off of Seinfeld. He is mentally challanged and has anxiety problems. He howls all hours of the day. Kramer has had hepitis, pancreantitis and wring worm all in a span of 2 years. Kramer take a licking and keep on ticking.

We've learned from having many cats in the past that, well, cats just don't know their name so we tried to pick names we'd have fun with.

When we first got our 2 tuxedo boys, we named them Puss-n-Boots cuz the white on Boots's legs looked like boots. But when we tried to train them the word "no", we couldn't keep a straight face -- "NO PUSS, NO" It just wasn't working.

So we ended up naming them Rock-n-Roll, for those into music, or Roll-n-Rock, for those into beer! The cats are 4 years old now and still don't know their names!

I've enjoyed reading about other pet names -- thank you for asking!

I'd have to disagree with ya rocknroll :-)

Every cat I have except for the last four on my list above know their names.. the last four were found early this pass summer so they may or may not end up knowing their names too..

we can call any of the first 7 cats above by their name and they will come see what we want and with 11 cats I've made the mistake of yelling out the wrong cat name when one is being bad and they ignore me but if I say the right name they do not.... proof to me that cats indeed do know their names, or at least the sound/tone of their names when we say them :-)

I too have to agree with myhsplace, all of my cats know their names. Whether they decide to acknowledge you when you call them-well that is up to them lol. My brother in laws cats do know their names, but usually choose to ignore the insigificant humans. We used to love teasing him by calling Ebony-and only she would come in-then calling her brother and only he would come in, while the brother in law couldn't get his to ever come to him!

My kitty is Simon. He was already named when we rescued him. He DEFINITELY knows his name and comes or meows when you say it.

Spanky and Sammy. Spanky is a feisty calico with more attitude than any humanoid I've ever met, and Sammy (short for Samatha) is a solid black rescue kitty with a very sweet, but somewhat fearful demeanor. We're working on that. She was tormented as a kitten, so trust is an issue. Say a prayer for my girl.

Our cats names are (we are a non profit shelter that is currently running over our capacity so please understand we have a lot of cats, LOL but they are cared for better than we are...if you don't believe us, we'll send you a copy of our vet bill. LOL)

Mama Patches - 15yrs old, tortoise shell and sweet as can be
Dot-13, beige and white, a big fluffly boy who is my baby-part maine coon
Pixel-13, Dot's brother, another big fluffy guy, orange and white
Toner-13, Pixel and Dot's sister, solid gray, short hair, daddy's girl
Gray Baby-12, another Patches kitten found under a car, gray and white, loves to talk
Uno-11, Patches last kitten before we got Mama and got her spayed, a black tortie that is my "OTHER" baby. :)
Beigee-11, our loveable lap tick, currently ill but we are doing what we can, light beige color tabby, grandson of Patches
Whitey-11, apricot flame point with blue eyes, she's not the brightest stick in the bunch but she is all sweetness, she's Beigee's sister
Ting Ping-11- tortie point half siamese with blue eyes, Beigee's other sister, we call her the 'tortie sportie,' she loves to lick fingers...go figure
Tiny Tiger-11- Gray Baby's kitten, gray and white like his mom, the clown of the place
Doodle Bug-11. Gray Baby's other kitten, colored just like her mom, the non-stop talker and a BIG GIRL
Yellow-2, a cat rescued from certain death at the hands of an unfriendly neighbor. Yellow is such a sweet boy. He likes to cuddle with Beigee and sit in laps.
Sammie- 15, a spotted tabby and our rat tailed cat :) he has the skinniest tail ever. He is a darling little guy we rescued when he was a year old. A neighborhood dog was on a cat killing spree and we were due to move from our old home to a new one. We couldn't in good conscious leave Sammie who we had slowly been taming. He's a love bug now.
Stubby-14, a gray and white girl who is Sammie's niece. She got her name because the dog earlier mentioned had mostly bitten off her tail. It was horrifying. Stubby was half feral and we'd seen her dragging this bit of a tail that clung on by a small sinew of muscle. We had to do something. We set out a live trap and we got Stubby and Sammie at the same time. Both went to the vet and Stubby got her tail fixed. It's a cute little appendage that she whips around like it's mile long. :)

And, the 3 new kittens on the block- now 6months old, found in a parking lot of an industrial complex at the tender age of 5 weeks, abandoned but in good decent shape, not feral but timid. Weird story...I was crying a few weeks earlier over the loss of my only black cat, Blackie, who died of an enlarged heart. He meant so much to me and I miss him dearly. We had recently lost 3 cats in total last year to health problems and I was devestated. I told my husband if we found a black kitten, even though we were overfilled with cats, I would take it in. He couldn't say no. Then low and behold, up pops 3 kittens and they were all black. My husband said we should take it as a sign. 3 kittens to fill in what we'd lost last year and they were all black to remind me of my beloved "Blackie."
Winky- long haired, solid black, georgeous girl, cuddle bunny
Inky- long haired, solid black, our cat that thinks he is a dog (nickname: Puppy)
Nod- short haired, solid black, a gremlin with a mischeivous strike that goes off the charts. If there's a mess, then Nod is in the middle of it. She's also the smallest cat we have.

That's our group. Except for one lone dog, Georgie, who is the best dog ever to put up with 18 cats.

We have 3 volunteers who feed & foster these cats & it's hardwork but rewarding. So far we only have 5 strays dumped this year a Mama w/ 4 kittens & hope next year is less. We haven't had any in 5 yrs.! ,but it's been a busy one this year. We are fortune to have acreage & can set up colonies where they are safe & adopt out the ones who are tame enough.
