7 in my home and one I support with my daughter away at school. My friends have started to call me crazy cat lady. lol. But they are all well cared for and loved and my vet keeps trying to give me more strays!
We have four and our apartment only allows two. But it seems that since we have lived here for 9 years, they just look the other way. We are lucky to have a large two bedroom and it doesn't seem like too many. We also have a parrot and a fish tank. I imagine it would be hard for us to rent somewhere else though :). If I had a house, I would definitely have six cats! they love each other and it is a delight to see them curl up and sleep and wash each other. I don't feel guilty being busy because they enjoy each others company so much.
We have 2 cats. Callie who is 16 and very mellow. Then there's Toby who we adopted from a shelter who has a wild streak but is very lovable! Wish I could have more, but to feed them, get their shots and all, that's all we can afford. If you have cats, I think you should be able to give them the best care ever and if you can't you shouldn't have them. They are my children and deserve the best!
