Hey, Fish! Please take heart, your Mother is in good hands. Hip replacement is one of those truly amazing modern medical miracles. They will have her up, in therapy as soon as possible, and walking again. She will be like the bionic woman, in better shape than before. Several family and friends have had hip and knee replacements. Their former pain is gone and they have some of their youth back again. She is in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know how things work out!

The Lord is good and I know he'll bless you and family....... now wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big hug............. and share one with your Mom too!!!!

I will keep you and your Mom in my prayers. I lost my mother this past January, she was 92. She fell and broke her hip when she was 68 and had a pin but she was a strong woman and I'm sure yours is too. God bless.

Good Morning Friends,

First thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my Mama. She had her surg. and has since been moved to a nursing home.

I must say putting her there crushed my heart, and made me mad I couldn`t help her @ home. But she had to go...I felt like I failed her. She knows it was out of my hands, but it still hurts to see her there. Killed me to sign the papers.

She is doing a little better and has her own room now. She can walk w/help from me and the nurses, but her pain is still awful. She crys alot. I cry after I go home and not see her in her chair.

Please continue to keep Mama in your thoughts and prayers.

Best Wishes,
Fish

Hello, Fish! So glad to hear that your Momma is recovering from her hip replacement. Don't be sad about moving her to the Assisted Living location while she recovers. They have Angels of Mercy at those places. They will look after her and give her round-the-clock care. Too many times, you will hear about families who insisted on keeping their parents at home following a major operation, and then caused more trouble when they dropped them while trying to move the folks from bed to a chair.
Try to think of it as Mom being on Vacation at a 5-star hotel, or at a Luxury Spa where they wait on her hand and foot (and hip)!

Don't feel like you failed your mom - my dad was taking care of my mom before she had to go to a nursing home. It was very hard on my dad when he had to take care of her - it's like a 24-hour job, so much harder & more time than a full-time job. If you remain positive & visit her, it won't be bad at all.

Glad to hear the surgery went well!

I know waht you're feeling. My mom has lung cancer with several methastasis and I know she´s leaving me. I pray everyday, I ask good God to have my mom just a little bit more. My father also passed away from renal cancer...
Dear friend, please, be confident! Good Lord knows what He does! Even when we doesn't agree, when we think it's unfair, that's always a bigger plan that we are not allowed to know before the right moment.
Don't be affraid for you mama! Make her happy! Make all your beloved ones happy! Make youself happy! Live in peace in order to - someday - leave in peace!
Best, best, best wishes! May the good Lord bless yours and your mama steps everyday!
