First let me thank you all for you thoughts and prayers for my Mama on her hip surg. She is now home, and I`m so happy!!! I really have something to be Thankful for. Wow is that a hard thing to go through. She still has some heart problems that most likely will take her from me one day. But I live in the day and my sweet Mama is sitting in her chair and has her good friend Cringer @ her side. Life is Great!!!
Ok, Turkey day is just around the corner. My kids remember that smell of turkey cooking and I`m sure I will have a few kids w/fur asking for a small bite on turkey day. Do you feed you cats turkey?
Well, I have work to do and try to get back to a normal life.
May you all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!!!
Hi Fish and Welcome back! I'm so glad to hear good news about your mama, I know that there was a bunch of us saying our prays and wishing you the best. As for the smell of turkey how can one resist? With 7 kitties here, I'm sure at least one of them will have a nibble!!! ok probably 4 or 5 of them but only a nibble!!! Take-Care, Melissa
Hi, Fish! So glad to hear that your Mother is doing better. All my boys go crazy over turkey. They won't eat it if it comes in a cat food can, but they go nuts if I have the fresh turkey from the deli sliced up for sandwiches. They are picky, too, about the brand. They snarf down the Boars Head brand at $10+ per pound, and will maybe eat the store budget-brand if it is very fresh. Four days later, they ignore it completely. My angels have been known to gobble up freshly roasted turkey, so they are definitely going to have a treat later today. Gobble, goggle, gobble! Enjoy your Thanksgiving and be sure to share some minced turkey with the fur babies!
So glad to hear your Mom is doing well. My cats love Thanksgiving. There are only 3 of us humans here, we make sure there are plenty of leftovers. (Turkey only of course.)
