I have been looking for a NEW LG VX8300 and have found that there are many of the "Power Sellers" on Ebay trying to pass off refurbished as brand new.Is it just me or is this dishonest - lying - fraud - etc. I recently bought what was supposed to be a "NEW" "NEVER OPENED" phone that was refurbished. The seller told me they had simply made a mistake and shipped the wrong phone. I got my money back but that's not the point...this is WRONG and Ebay needs to fix it.What do you think?

I couldn'tr agree more. I am a PowerSeller and it makes it difficult for me to sell the real thing because the the Refurbs drag the prices down. Ebay could easily solve the problem but since they are making money , allot of money, on it there isn't much chance that they will do anything about it.

This one hits home! I normally just sell Tracfone pin codes.I do sell a few phones now and then. I just sold two phones that I had listed as new, never opened, etc. As I was packaging them I noticed the sticker that said refurbished. I contacted the buyer and told him this and he said no problem so the sale went as planed. I wasn't trying to defraud anyone. Guess I just wasn't paying attention. At least I told the buyer before I sent the items. I figured he could back out if he wanted to. Honest mistakes are made by the best of us.

you are not alone, I too was scamed, but thanks to Pay Pal policy I was able to get my money back after I returned merchandise, there ought to be a law against that kind of thing

We are trying to spread the word about sellers who sell refurbished cell phones as new anywhere we can online. We sell several thousands of phones each month and refuse to sell refurbished as new. For one it is illegal and number 2 is that our reputation means way to much to us! We sell the same refurbished cell phones that a lot of other people are selling as new for a lot less money!
