when ever going over 55 mph and under load ie foot on the gas..the car shakes, when ever i take my foot off the gas and cruise then the shaking is gone. i thought it may of been the rear tires so i replaced them..nothing..i thought it may be the two pieace drive shaft..replace that with the one..the car is still doing it and i dont know where else to go..any help thanks
our engine is missing..miss firing on acceleration. Check ignition...plugs, wires more likely, electronic ignition cap. More than likely wires need replacing. Bill
You are looking in the right area. The problem that you described is definitely a balancing situation. It could be in the tires, drive line, or maybe even in the trans or engine. you said that you had the rear tires replaced. Did you also have tires (all four) balanced? That would be the very first thing to do. Next, have the drive shaft checked for dents, or a bad U-joint. Those will be the easiest. If those are not the problem, then check your harmonic balancer. Or, it could be that your flywheel, or flex plate. I hope that this will help. Bill
