I have a '70 Chevy LWB pickup, and my question is this: It doesn't run, has a powerglide tranny that I know nothing about except he said it works. The body is decent, the paint is awful. Should I try to sell it whole, or part it out? It does have all the glass, radio, a/c, steering wheel, etc.
Whaddya think?

Selling the parts would make you alot more money, however, you would have to be able to ship large items like the doors, hood, etc

What would you like for the whole truck? How much money and where are you at?

You make so much more money by parting out anything. Right now with the way the economy is going, everyone is selling something but no one really seems to be buying. If you do find a buyer for the truck as a whole, it won't be for much.

I'd restore it if it was me. Air cabs in 1970 models are really hard to find and the powerglide transmission is really rare. What motor and other options does it have?

Do the right thing and sell it whole! This is an antique and as long as it's fixable deserves to be kept alive. (I have 7 antique Chevy's myself)

67-72chevytrucks.com would be a great place to find a buyer. The AC is very rare BTW.

You realize you're sitting on a great 1/8 or 1/4 mile tranny. Rebuild the motor, stick a Ford 9" under it and take it to the local track

Do you still have the truck? I would be interested in buying it how it is!

Thanks!
