Hi.To get the show on the road let's start by letting every one know what year chevy pickup you own. I own a 68' c10, with an 8ft fleetside bed. By looking a her you would tell that she is not for show. But she did get me to and from where i needed for two years. and still kicking with a fresh v8 in her. I'l let it go from here.
still riding my 89 c1500 ext cab . complete with the prerequisite delaminating paint. figure I snot 2 more winters out of her and by then GM oughta be GIVING away trucks ...lol. It's been from Canada to Florida with a ton of NASCAR in between and kicking strong at 110000 miles. (and no piston slap like the 6.0's)
I have a 1970 Chevy Short Stepside Truck under construction. I am building this to be a show quality driver. All cars and trucks should be driven and not trailer queens. GW
I have ........... 56 Chevy ( driver ), 57chevy ( parts/project ), 68 GMC 3" chop, lowered 5" 88-98 bed, driver / show trk, 93 350SS daily driver w/200K+ miles and everything works!!!!!, 2003 Avalanche that the wife took and won't let me have it back ( she likes it better than her Mercedes ML430!! ). I also have a 69 Camaro SS ( show car I bought @ 15yo and have had 21 years ) and a mint 88 Iroc I bought for the drivetrain to put in my 56. Still looking for a 55 Belair and 67 Chevy II !!!! I just tell my wife, Cars are cheaper than drugs!!!! :) TC.
I'm restoring a 1968 Chevrolet C10 short bed fleetside. I like to call it a 2068 model though, reason for that was about a year ago somebody hit me in my lifted 2006 GMC Sierra and totalled it. So I got the truck back and swapped the 5.3 out of it into my 68. I've recently installed Patriot stage 3 LS6 heads, Comp XFI cam, LS6 intake manifold, LS6 throttle body, comp rocker arms, a Ford 9" rear end, and a ACC nightstalker torque converter. The truck is currently in the body shop, getting all of the body work done, as well as painting the interior, door jambs and engine compartment. I still have to wire the engine and truck up to get it to run, but soon after that it will be painted in Chevy Victory Red.
Brand new owner of a 95 K1500 4x4 Stepside. This is my dream truck, love the stepside, cant wait to start restoration. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
