I had the chance to meet Mr. Banks (aka Mr. Cub) once. Is there any nice player now or ever in MLB? What a great man. He signed an autograph chatted with us for about an hour! Wow!

There is no one nicer in baseball than MR CUB Ernie Banks . I have his autograph on about 12 different items . I remember once at a national sports collectors convention after the show was over for the day , back at the hotel I was going to get ice . I past a door that was open to a room and a voice said HEY come back here . I went in and there sat Ernie Banks , He said grab a seat and lets talk baseball . we talked for about 2 hours . Then Ernie ask me if I golfed and I said yes . The next words out of his mouth floored me for ask me if I wanted to go in the morning . I was there helping a friend whom is a national table holder and I was helping hi at his table . I told Ernie of the situation and that I had no clubs . He said thats alright I'll pay for the rental of your clubs and lets go explain tomorrows activities to your dealer friend . I went golfing and it was the best time of my life , for I played 18 holes of golf with my favorite baseball player of all time , just as if he was my best friend and we had known each other since childhood . I didn't tell Ernie until about the 17th tee that I was a former all stater in high school . Thats when more fun began for every time I started to swing he would either yell or throw something at me . I beat him by 16 strokes . THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE !!!!!!!! Ernie is the GREATEST !!!!!!
