Mercy Me!!! I can only imagine was first played at my son's funeral 6 years ago. My granddaughter and the youth pastor put the music together. Their music touches my heart and soul!!
My all time favorite singer is Michael W. Smith, just because so far all of his songs are great. Can't decide on a favorite from him, they are all so good! denise32935
Third Day is at the top of my list, but 2 newer bands I like are: Tenth Avenue North (amazing lyrics) and Addison Road (pop-good to sing along with). Kutless' Stong Tower worship cd is a fave too.
There are so many good Christian artists, it's hard to pick just one. I think of Chris Tomlin as one of my favorites, just because he is a worship leader who helps us worship Jesus on our own through his songs. "(More than) Enough" is one of my favorite songs, "Holy is the Lord," "How Great is Our God," "Your Grace is Enough" -- they're all songs I've used in my own times of worship. We also sang "How Great is Our God" one Sunday morning at church, and God really blessed that song and service.
Just a suggestion, search some of these that brother and sisters are replying to at youtube.com so you can hear the music if your not familiar with them.
Many mentioned are on my playlist =) Have a blessed life =)
Rich Mullins. Not only a tremendously talented singer/songwriter, but also one of the most humble servants of the Lord in all of Christian music. His loss had an impact on the entire western Christian community.
I personally like the band skillet and the 'Open Wounds' because they are an awesome band that has lyrics that can be related to other people who might have the same thing that they have gone through.
