In these difficult and uncertain times, it is important that we as Christians keep in mind that we are called to love one another and to love our neighbors and to love our God. I disagree with Mr. Obama's policies as well, but we must be assured in our hearts that he is our president by the assent of the Lord Almighty, who sets up and tears down kings and leaders. We must also remain steadfast in our faith and trust in our God, who is overseeing every event in the universe, guiding and using them to achieve His plan. Since you and I did not elect Mr. Obama, we nust accept that he was allowed this position with God's perfect will, and that he will serve God's purposes, despite our impression of his personal values and integrity. We don't see through God's eyes, and our ways are not His ways, but he requires us to accept that He has control and lean upon His grace, for it is truly sufficient. I love you, my brother or sister, and I will lift you up in prayer to the Lord, asking for you to have peace, comfort and joy, for, aside from the promise of eternal life by His side, these are the greatest gifts that our salvation offers. dstump last I heard we are all entitled to our opinions,being soft or hard toned, we must be careful on judging brothers and sisters. calling your brother and or sister a fool was not high on the to do list either, you have just done the same thing as you accused Russ of doing just softened it up a bit. Russ is a christian brother very serious in his belief ..he puts me in mind of the apostle Peter in many ways...we all are gifted by our Heavenly Father in mannerisms and make-up we are all designed just the way God intended us to be...there is always hope for any ones soul.
