what oil should i run in the 2.7 just bought the car it has 71000 miles

Chrysler calls for 5W-30 or 10W-30. We use Valvoline, but they are all pretty close to the same. The 2.7 do have some sludge issues is you go over the 3,000 mile oil change. So you may want to go Synthetic if you plan on having the vehicle for a while. just my 2cents.

recommend 10w/30 weight 4qts. and also lucas oil additive. this I found to aid in keeping top end of motor lubricated after sitting.
