"kcdistributing" is spot-on about Eddie VanHalen. Eddie was the premier Guitar Gawd in a popular band and he probably inspired the sales of a million guitars across America and Canada. Eddie was a charismatic little guy onstage and came across very well in those insufferable MTv videos of the day. sure, Eric Clapton is a legend, but my Mom, well into her 70's, also knows who he is. That weirds me out a bit.Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani and Jeff Beck attain sounds and sonics I thank God were recorded; gives me goose bumps!

My choices would be (but not necessarily in this order cause when you're that good, what difference does it make?)
