One of the reasons I started eBaying was to complete my Philips Complete Mozart Edition. Now I wonder whether there have been any updates to what was once known as his complete oeuvre. Anyway, fellow Mozart lovers, do you have a favourite piece by our Salzburg master?
hello, fellow 'mozart-ians'...i have a huge (but by no means complete)mozart collection..i dont like the opera 'zaide' but other than that, i have NEVER come across one single note of mozart that was not PERFECT..sings with the voice of angels...watch 'amadeus', read about him..enjoy.....
Hi Ya'll, I'm new to this community and as you see by my avatar I'm into guitar...And love classical guitar...Can you clue me in on some of the latest classical guitar players ? I've been out of the realm for awhile...
my philips set just arrived today. now i have to sell the 20 or so individual portions of it i bought separately. :) i have had it on mp3 for years, so i know it pretty well. i have two complete sets of mozart now and while the budget set is the best value, you just can't beat the consistency of the philips set.
not that this has anything to do with what you asked.
anyway, my favorite mozart at the moment is the daponte trilogy (nozze, giovanni, cosi) but i go through phases of obsession all the time. requiem was my early favorite...
you can find excellent lists of his works, regularly updated, on either wikipedia or at http://www.barenreiter.com/html/completeedi/mozart-ga.htm.
