Anyone else tired of having to sift through all the stupid "copy" and "replica" listings when you're shopping for coins? IMHO, it has gotten way out of hand. Counterfeits, copies, replicas, miniatures, etc should be listed in their own, seperate listing!
there's always the Fed's or treasury police... these coins clearly do not have markings on them making them counterfiets! maybe a letter to e-bay stating such and a follow up to the feds might get a response. even tho they say replica, there is no such markings on the coins leading to a serious problem with counterfieters.
Early Dollars (1794-1804)" and search for "1794", I get 190 hits. If I refine the search to delete "copy", "replica", "reproduction" and "miniature", I get 2 hits, and one of those is a guy selling albums, not coins. This also does not include returns for "Ebay Stores".
So, if you are looking for an actual collector coin on ebay, it is a real PITA having to sift through all the crap to find them.
Cod, you are absolutely right! The Feds need to get involved, counterfeiting currency used to be a bad thing. Guess now it's acceptable???....at least that's the message our government is sending by not shutting down these bums!
