Hi everyone;

I have a 1914 D Saint Gaudens ANACS MS64 that's in the old green ANACS holder.I bought this a few years ago from a good friend of mine who really needed the money. My question is should I leave it alone since it's the old holder or maybe have it re-submitted to NGC or PCGS for re-grading?

Can't go wrong either way Crok. Crossover from PCGS will cost you $65 plus cost of you to ship to them. $30 grading fee, $8 submission fee and $26.75 returned registered mail fee. I'm not sure about NGC probably close in price though.....hell ANACS ain't bad. Good luck.

My best Au 58 Bust Half came from an old small Anacs holder.
I did cross it to PCGS , the main reason was so I could add it to my NGC Registry set. While the resale on a PCGS or NGC holder will usually be better I would keep it where it is unless you want to sell it . If you do cross it make sure you list a minimum grade of MS64 . Remember there is no guarantee that the coin will cross. People do like the old green ANACS holders.

I say go for it... either way your oing to benifit. keep it in the anacs holder and get so much for it, pay for the ngc holder ,possibly loose a grade and your still getting the same money. But if the grade comes in the same your on top.

I WOULD LEAVE IT ALONE. IVE HAD MANY COINS GRADED BY PCGS AND ALWAYS FELT MY COINS WERE UNDERGRADED. NGC IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WAY. ANACS IS THE OLDEST OF ALL THE GRADING SERVICES AND DO EXCELLENT WORK. ITS JUST A MATTER OF CHOICE. JACK KING.

PCGS and NGC most likely graded your coins properly and did not under grade them .

Unless you're certain it is undergraded, I would leave well enough alone.
