PCGS CC MORGANS MS65 I need advice.

I am looking to buy an 1882 or 1883 or 1884 CC Morgan MS65 PCGS certified. How much should I expect to pay and Where should i buy it? I already have scoped out Ebay and can see the Ebay prices range $400-$500. Are these acceptable prices? My uneducated guess is yes. Also is MS65 a good way to go, or is this grade overated? I understand '' Buy the coin not the slab'' but I really want a PCGS certified coin.
Useful Funny
Agree with "buy the coin and not the slab" sentiment. I think $500 for a solid grade coin is reasonable. $450 would be a great buy if the coin is indeed a "65". Wholesale is about $425 but as you know, beware of "bargains". Good Luck and Happy Independence Day!!

Alrighty I am going to give the same advice I gave you at coinhood..
I know you read it already, but maybe some other members who are shyer and haven't posted yet might want to see this too

Well I suggest doing some research:

1) Go to PCGS.com and see what the value is for a MS65 in any of those years, right it down
2) Go to the numismedia price guide, and right the value down for MS65 in any of those years right it down,
3) Go to ebays completed listings, and find the average going price of any one of those years in MS65 PCGS
4) Think of the price you are willing to pay after considering all of these things, and stick with it, don't raise it because you found one, these are available just be patient
5) Good Luck
6) Any more help with morgans, I am here, as are all the members.

Anybody buying any coin on ebay should keep PCGS,com opened as a second window or tab when they are trying to determine prices. Also another good one to look at when trying to determine a price is Heritage.com. I keep both open whenever I am looking just to compare.

Thank you T$. I post both places for one simple reason. I joined coinhood because of people like you, And I got the coinhood info from this site. This ebay forum has a lot of answers also. And I believe if members like you keep giving great advice here. more members will end up joining coinhood also. I have noticed a lot of dual membership with some of the most knowledgable people now being on both this ebay neighborhood and coinhood. Keep up the good work.

I do the same exact thing Mustang does! Some Morgans are cheaper on Herritage and sometimes ebay. Be patient and don't get in a bidding war and you find a deal on ebay! Happy Hunting!

Stormy that does happen, but in some rarer cases.
The higher the value, it seems the closer you can get it to the wholesale price ;)
Ebay has deals, great deals, if you are patient, you can get something GRRRR-ATE off of heritage.
