1. As a buyer what coins have you NOT won that you wanted ?

2. As a seller what coins have you sold that you wish you hadn't ?

A couple of weeks ago I was going to bid on a 1909-S Indian Head cent and I set my alarm clock 10 minutes before auction end....guess what the #$@%&*# clock didn't go off....ooohhhh it was nice,no spots no marks no deal.

Useful Funny
As a buyer, I've lost out on a couple great pre-1982 Uncirc. Memorial Cent rolls.

As a seller, I've only sold Washington Silver Quarters two times. I guess I wish I would have waited and sold at a better time. Like last month when it was up.

Wow! You were serious, Chief! Setting your alarm clock and everything! Sorry, you didn't get it. : (

HelloChief; number one; A set of unopened 2008 bald eagle proof coins, but now I have them all! at a some what higher price, but purchased my bald eagle gold proofs, from the mint . Much cheaper as always, and number two; I wish I would have never sold my ddr/1939-P Jefferson nickels, I should be shot for ever getting rid of them as you cannot find coins like I sold! now for any money..but the person that bought them said he would cherish them forever. So now I don't feel so badly.

Well the 2nd question is MUCH easier.
But the coin I regret never buying was a perfectly graded 1995-w silver eagle. A guy was offering it to me back in 1997 for $6500. I didn't have that kind of money at the time & I made him what I guess was an insulting offer. Wish somebody would make me that same offer now!!
Just check my feedback over the past 3 weeks & you'll see that i regret selling all those 2008 reverse of 2007 NGC MS70's so cheap! i never in a million years thought the demand is going to be so nutty. anybody who wants to return them , NO PROBLEM!!

As a buyer, my biggest regret was not buying all of mr_met's 2008 reverse of 2007 NGC MS70's so cheap! As a seller, haven't sold too many coins and I'm glad of it! Back in 2005, I did sell a set of four sterling spoons weighing just over an ounce each for around $8.00 total. OUCH!

I know Trvlntiques, I know!!
I got the 2008 reverse of 2007 early releases fairly cheap when they 1st came out & I do try to sell things at a fair price when it comes to "buy-it-nows"
But boy do I wish people would have buyer's remorse & return them. I can't believe that I listed them for only $420 initially.
(AND THE EVEN SADDER PART , I DIDN'T EVEN SAVE ONE FOR MYSELF!!!)

I had a PCI graded 1916-d Mercury Head on my watch list. It sold for around $400.00
I would have went $500 or better.

I regret selling around 400 ounces of silver in 2005 at $7.50 an ounce. OUCH
I also regret selling more at $12.00

Towboat...OUCH !!! on the 1916-D dime.
I have a 1947 Redbook and a 1916-D Uncirculated was only $65 !!!!! Gotta get me a timemachine.....and that gives me an idea.

Gotta Go

Wow Chief. That 1947 Red Book is worth a pretty penny now! Is it a first printing or second? My 1959 Red Book says a 1916-D was worth $250 in unc..so it shot up quite a bit! With a time machine I would pick up some 1893-S Morgans in MS-65, from $400 in 1959 to $400,000 today! People say the US Dollar has gone down in value, I say it just depends on which US Dollar you have! LOL

Its a reprint, got mine at Books A Million last year.
[ St. Gaudens Unc. $75, Proof $115. ]
1947 was the first year of the Red Book. It also has cool info in the back about how coin prices compare then to now....Well worth the money, they come in hardback.

everycoin that i was outbid on i wanted. there were a few DOH's but remember , another coin will be along sooner or later.I usually get what i wanted for cheaper money the second time around.

as far a selling goes, i took a major beating on my sold coins. Bad camera =poor pictures= low bids.
result = great coins at bargain prices.

can't dwell on past mistakes. I scored just as many good deals so i'm even.
