I picked this up from Heritage last week . Their picture did not do the coin justice. My original intention was to sell this on EBAY , having the coin in hand I may decide to just keep it . Well maybe I will just put it up with a lofty BIN price. :-}

Useful Funny
It's magically delicious! (At least the reverse is)
Very dark on the obverse, kinda splotchy, and crusty, not a big fan of toning like that. Now I do like the reverse, it is a darker shaded toning, but it is stunning.
I like it for the most part Musicman ;)
Congrats

I agree the reverse is killer , the observe is still very nice but not ideal .
In hand it is not dark but the toning is uneven.
I am sure I can get a good price for this coin if I decide to sell it .

This is one of those coins you need to rotate under light to really appreciate all the different colors.

I was actually looking at that same coin Music. You picked up a very nice coin at a great price. I love the reverse (grape soda-like??)
AND ,I'm a fan of crustiness so the obverse doesn't bother me at all..
Do Connecticut residents have to pay tax on Heritage? I never had to pay taxes with Heritage until a few months ago & since then, I haven't bid very often

No Tax here Met . When did New York start taxing you ??

I'm not quite sure when it started, but the last quarter eagle I bought from them included NYS sales tax. It's hard to compete when you have to include the BP AND sales tax now

In CT there is no sales tax on collectable coins even if you buy them here.

met, I know in PA there's no tax up to a certain dollar amount on coins. I dont know what it is but it must be too rich for my blood. I was at an auction a few months ago and the auctioneer mentioned there would be tax applied to the Canadian coins. I thought that was odd.

Music, that is a very beautiful looking piece (on both sides) if you ask me... MS-64 is perfect for me bro, no doubt.
