If you had a "coin only" timemachine what year would you go back to and why ? What would you bring back? Please give as many answers as you'd like.....the more the better. I gotta think on this one...answer sometime Sunday.
Well the storm passed, think I'll go fishing Saturday in canoe...........
Chiefbullsit Jr. thinks he better fisherman than me...me know better.

With a time machine I would pick up some 1893-S Morgans in MS-65, from $400 in 1959 to $400,000 today! People say the US Dollar has gone down in value, I say it just depends on which US Dollar you have! LOL

WELL CHIEF,
I'D GO BACK TO 1893 , AND DEFINITELY BRING BACK A NICE SHINY 1893-S MORGAN.
THEN , I'D STICK AROUND FOR A 1916-D WINGED LIBERTY DIME (yeah , a MS68 or so 1916-d mercury dime)
ALSO I WOULDN'T MIND GOING BACK 3 WEEKS OR SO BUT LET ME STOP CRYING IN MY BEER ABOUT THOSE 2008 SILVER EAGLES WITH THE 2007 REVERSE.

I would go back to the 1790's when you could walk in the mint door and get coins hot off the presses at face value. You really could do that back then. I'd have to go every year and clean them out. Then skip to the early 1800's. Pick up a few 1804 dollar$ and a bunch of gold. Yes,that's what I would do. I'd also like a tour of the old mint and take some pictures with my digital camera, and be jailed for heresy.

Great choices !!!
I guess I'd go back to 1907 and try and get the "one and only" 1907 Indian Head Double Eagle U.S. Pattern coin listed at the top of page 355 in 2009 Red Book. This design was for the original $20 Gold coin but Teddy Roosevelt wanted Lady Liberty and the rest is history.............and while I'm there I would tell the U.S. Congress to pass a law stating "NEVER put Susan B. Anthony on a coin....ever."
OOOOOHHHHHH THE HORROR !!!!!!
