I really don't need too, I have 20 plus years worth of store inventory. BUT I am a sucker for a deal. last year I bought a huge lot of x-men (early 80"s) in excellent shape for pennies on the dollar. sometimes if I see a silver age book with low shipping and no bids, I will put a $1 or $2 bid. if I get it, great, if not I just raised the price for the seller.
Hi, all the time.I used ti have a retail store so people would bring in collections now that i do not have it anymore e-bay has been my source to pick things up.I get some good deals on large lots as collectors generally won't bid on large collections as they probably have some or many of the comics so it leaves the door wide open for us scavengers.also a lot of times in big lots the sellers really are'nt sure what they have in there and if you keep looking you can grab some real gems.
SPEAKING OF GEMS!!! I'm in the middle of selling all my comics. I dont collect, read, or even look at em anymore. They've been sitting in a box for over a decade. I just want to get rid of em but at the same time get some decent money off em. I have mostly marvel comics from modern age (90's). A lot of goodies too. Onslaught, Heroes reborn, electric superman, deadpool, complete sets, all things xmen, etc. Come by and check it out. I might have what you are looking for. Thanks! - Stefan
I am also an old comic dealer and will say to collector that wants to sell after ten years is makeing a huge mistake. You will always regret what you sold. But do not cry about it afterwards . Do you really want to me go over 100,000 bucks worth ( todays value ) that I sold for a couple hundred . Put your books in mylar and wait for the market to demand what you got. Most of my comics are 1965 -85. So they are worth more than 50% of Overstreet. If I see a fool selling for pennies on the dollar I will inform the seller of the error in their price!
