I sell quite a few x-men, wolverine and spiderman. I collect mainly DC comics, JLA, and silver age teen titans. silver age Batman. I purchase most DC comics monthly.
Yeah it seem that the only comics that sell well are silver age or older. I sold most of my older comics with ease but these current comics are a pain to sell. I offer good deals but that seems not to be enough. Boy I could use some suggestion on those.
I'm not really a collector, or a seller.. I'm only starting to read the Green Lantern comics. Because i've always been drawn to the Green Lantern series after seeing him on the old Superfriends cartoon. So i've recently been buying a bunch of GL comics as well as the GL Corps.
Silver age and older is definitely an eBay favorite for all because we can get it so much cheaper here than anywhere else. I like to purchase lots, whether it be a full run or just a specific story arc.
I buy copper age and older if it's part of a series that I'm missing and sometime I even buy modern books because my shop doesn't carry much.
I enjoy selling on eBay, but agree that it can be quite difficult to make a profit on a modern age book.
