Hey dude. I saw your post when I was gonna post the same thing. I see by your pic you're an old gamer like me. I'm 44. I built a gaming pc last year and I'm upgrading it now. I'm waiting for an asus mobo I bought on ebay. It's stripped but I think I can make it work for me. I will post more shortly. Jesse.
38 year old gamer here. Build my own rigs all the time. runing two now with used parts from various p4 rigs. $$$$ cash flow limited. most expensive part of my current machine was the 6800 gt oc agp nvidia card.
39 year old gamer here. Nice seeing people my age around and still playing. I've been building for about 10 years. Do alot of OC with water cooling. Having alot of fun using affordable cpu's and beating the snot out of the elite chips. I use almost always asus motherboards. Bios updates are a bit of a pain sometimes but once set they run and oc well.
hey pro builders!!!!! i'm jus starting on building gaming computers. can u guys help me build a great gaming pc. ANY suggestions on the best parts in the market i can use. i want quality products with ofcourse topnotch performance. My budget is $3000 only!!!!!!!!!!! thanks..............
I used to build systems, but I can get higher-end Dell systems on the cheap, so my current gaming PC is a Dell Precision 390 with a Q6600, 4GB, and an 8800 GTX. Stable, quiet, and fast. I used to sell them here exclusively, but the market for gaming systems just isn't big enough, and many build their own. I still sell some here and there though.
I did want to build a computer myself until I killed a computer that I was working on. I tried to install a DVD drive, a CDRW drive, and an extra hard drive from my older computer. The computer still runs, but not on it's original hard drive and the CD drives aren't responding. I give up. It's an old computer anyway. I had it just for something to play with
boy oh boy i wish i had a 3000 dollar budget for a pc. I spent under a grand and put together what i thought was a great pc even for gaming it out does my xbox 360. between ebay tigerdirect and newegg, i can give people a crazy run down on where to find the best prices. watch out on buying a motherboard from ebay sellers even if they have a 3 year warrenty like a buyer told me on an asus motherboard, asus doesnt warrenty from a third party seller, or you buying it off of ebay. love to join the club with the pc guys out there im open for any questions @ strvnartist@gmail.com
