Hi, I am in the process of E-baying my "stash" from a room full of craft supplies. Some of them I will keep to use at the Easter Seal Camp where I volunteer in the art room, but I still have miscellaneous supplies. For example, I have a bag full of miniature straw hats that could be decorated but it doesn't seem like an appropriate item for an auction. Does anything go or should I be picky? What do you think??

HI, years ago when I decorated large hats and sold them I would make magnets out of the small ones, I also used them as plant picks. I would dip them into a can of sealer and then add ribbon or very small flowers and attach a stick and sell them at craft fairs. If you don't list them maybe this will give you some ideas for the art room.

Most items sell on ebay... us a "lot of" in your title and see if they sell. I also like bosslady_j repley... my daughter went to a Easter Seals Camp and had a great time, thanks to people like you.... thanks for your time with the campers! Good luck

check out your local non-profit organizations (or local schools) in your town. most of this places accept donations of all sorts. try to aim at those that cater to kids since they tend to do a lot of arts and crafts. you can also google them. I do know of some unfortunally I dont have the web address right know, when I do find it though I'll post it. good luck.
p.s. you can swap used books at paperbackswap.com , try it its free!

Hi, have you tried yahoo groups? There are a lot of craft groups. Some give away or trade materials.

I ebayed a lot of about 25 of the little straw hats a year ago, and they did really well. I had them listed under kid's crafts and they were purchased by a lady who runs a day care center. I only remember because she bought a lot of the items I was auctioning.
Over the summer one of my goals is to very ruthlessly go through my mega stashes of craft supplies and sell 25 to 50% of it.

I think anything goes on ebay, especially if you mention the different craft ideas
that they could be used for. I sold a lot of coffee cups and glassware as potential candle holders and managed to sell most of them. I'm sure someone is making "coffee cup candles" even now. I would list them in smaller lots just to see how they go, good luck to you!!
