I do alot of recycling or repurposing items. That way they are made for good use again, and stay out of our landfills. I use old sweaters, knitted/crocheted items in dispair, clothing, bags, paper bags, milk jugs, and lots more. I have few items piled up that I havent figured out what to do with. They are the plastic square coffee containers, yogurt cups and metal coffee cans. Does anyone have any ideas for these? Would love to hear any and all ideas for anything you recycle also.
metal coffee can can be used in the garden-- so can the plactic ones Cut the bottoms out for an open container ^ insert your plant of choice-- When watering just fill the can-- I normally put the can 1/2 into the ground.. This also prevents ground spash on to the leaves... Also a good marker for returning perennials the next spring..
That was gonna be my suggestion.....use for gardening.....my mom is crafty......she even covers them and decorates the containers from indoor flower arrangements!
metal Coffee cans have many uses. I use then to make art mostly, garden figures or chimes. Yogurt cups I like to use in gardening also same with the plastic coffee containers. When the kids were young I use to make toys with them drums, shakers and so on. Now I mostly use them to catch rain and slowly drip them over the plants to save watering.
Hi, everyone, You can take those small cups of food items and make pin cushions...I use the tall plastic Crystal Lite containers for that..I crochet around the outside up to the top...Oh yes you will have to cut them down to the size you want..Put some stuffing in and cover the top with a piece of cute material..glue it around the top..If you don't crochet you can use a piece of quilted material..These are cute and make very nice gifts... Have a great Day..Joyce
