ok i need a pep talk i've listed a stainglass item it didn't sell i listed a clock it did sell and now i have listed lonely fused items that i don't have any watchers on. i feel talented when my family has to have something i made but ebay is disappointing. just need some kind words thank you
Please don't feel bad, I listed and relisted a lot before I sold something that I made, and that was when I was making polymer clay beads and everybody was selling everything, stuff I would have put in the trash was selling and I still could not give t away, and then the dam broke. It was the same when I started selling my fused glass, took a while to find my nitch. Please don't give up or think your items are not worth it, I think your glass is lovely, but it is a very slow time of year, added to a very weak economy and that means a lot less sellers. I al but gave away the first things I sold so that I could get some feedback in the area I was moving in to. So take a deep breath and smile. Hey with the faces maybe you could show one of the angels you made if you can get to them to take a picture, some people just don't have any imagination. Take care, Jo
I know what you are going through...Ebay is a hard place to sell handmade items, at least that has been my experience. I make greeting cards and don't do quite as well here as i don on etsy. etsy.com is a marketplace to buy and sell all handmade items! Give it a try you cant go wrong! hope this helps
Sarah, your cards are beautiful. I used to make handmade cards and I know how much work goes into each one, even if you used things you bought to assemble them it would still take a lot of time, and yours are all made by you! I made our cards for a couple years and people have saved them and still ask me if they are back on my card list. I don't think they believe me when I tell them I have not had time the last two Christmas's to make cards they all think I am mad at them for something and they are getting store bought cards for that!!! I guess I will try to fins the time to make them this year, I will try to do them when the kids go back to school and not think about it after Thanksgiving like I did last year. Jo
I am selling the flowers and herbs that I grow in my garden and collect. I have had luck so far but I am having a bit harder time selling my things in comparison to the things that I am cleaning out of my craft room. I think that the numbers that you have next to your name do matter so much! I am up to a 9! Don't give up! I am going to keep trying...learning how to find my way around ebay is another story! there is so much here that I am afraid that I am missing how to have people find my things! Good luck to you!
I love the items I bought from you. Now I just have to decide what to do with them, they are much to pretty and smell too nice to just sit in my studio, Jo
I'm so glad that you like the things that you recieved! the roses are very nice to put in a muslin or cheesecloth bag and use as a bath soak, add some epsom salts to the water and melt away in aahhhhh....The Jasmine makes a wonderful tea, even iced with a bit of honey. I also soak my roses in HOT water until it cools then I strain the water into a closable container and store it in the fridge. This rose water is perfect dabbed on a cloth for a cool compress, stress reliever. they also say that the smell of roses keeps you aware and on task, keeping some in your studio is a good thing! All The Best!
