Hi, I'm new here too. I love crochet as well. Don't know
anything about neighborhoods. Do we have a moderator
like in a group? I see a place down below 'post' that says
a list of 'ebay auction numbers'. Well, o.k. I got one going now.Why didn't you put yours down?

Hi,
I really enjoy crocheting also and I have put some of my "granny squares" on e-bay but, latly I haven't been able to sell any of them. I was wondering if you might have any idea of a fair price I could charge. I hate to let them go for to little but, I don't know if my price is to high. Thanks Lora

Hey Lora9817, I like to crochet as long as it is doesn't get more complicated than a double crochet. To sell your squares why don't you offer instructions on how to connect them for simple items such as a scarf, lap rug and so forth. I looked at them and considered buying 2 sets but I don't know how to connect them.

Carol. Connecting them is easy. If you can whip stitch, you can connect them. Just place them face to face, get black yarn or thread, a large eyed needle, and whip them together. Nothing to it. If I can be of more help let me know. Lora

You can find more patterns of all kinds on eBay than you can shake a hook at. Keep crocheting every day. I crochet while waiting, while hubby drives, while waiting on doctors, bankers, etc. When I am through, I have something to show what waiting time is. Amazing when you think about it. I don't just sit down and crochet very often. I would feel guilty doing that when the house needs dusting, vacumning, etc. But crochet is for the soul, too. It is an art and helps to release anxiety and fustration at the world and ourselves. Keep crocheting!! You have been crocheting longer than I have. I learned in high school home economics class--about 40 years ago, give or take a year or so.

Hello everyone..I am new here and I love to crochet. I have constantly got some crochet project. going. I just recently made my own pattern for a cake. I crochet several different kinds of cakes... but what I have named
"Hide-Away" Cake is my own creation. I havnt really been crocheting long compared to alot of people here. Maybe a year but I picked up really quick and I love it. I too have GOT to crochet. I try to take breaks from it but I always pick the hook back up and start something else. :) Its like a habbit I cant quit.. :)

Have you ever heard of the chenile pattern? I make all my afghans this way and they are very heavy blankets, great for keeping you warm. I don't know if I can send a picture but if you have never heard of it and would like the pattern let me know.

(pay attention to the ends when turning, when I first started I had some really irregular looking blankets) After turning repeat from the begining with double crochet, single crochet, next row after turning will be back loop only chain 5 or 6, (don't forget that single crochet to put your chains on after the the double crochet) that row will make it sit flat and the single crochet in between is where the chains are going in back loop only to make it look at first to some people when completed almost like the pop corn stich but not even close. I have made so many like this and they are so heavy and warm and easy to do they just take awhile. If you have any questions just let me know I'll try to get back here sooner. I think though that even if you haven't been a crocheter for very long anyone can pick this up. As I said before it is all the basics and the baby blankets are good starters and the tri color yarn makes some really beautiful ones. Have fun and I promise to check back. If this sounds confusing let me know and I will try to clarify. Have fun with it and make something warm. Good Luck Kathryn
