I have some lovely vintage scarfs and other items, that have several spots where it looks like the threads have changed color. This is usually a spot of brown or lighter threads. Is there anyway to change the color back to white? I've tried a bleach stick and spot removers. It doesn't appear to be dirty. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

HI, In response to your problem with stains on vintage items...I inherited a white crocheted tablecloth from my Mom and it had some dark stains that may have been tea or beef gravy. I had read somewhere that lemon juice would help so I tried it. I used real lemons and just cut them and rubbed the stains, then set the tablecloth out in the sun. All the stains almost completely disappeared. I was advised not to use the bottled juice products, but always real lemons. I don't know where you are located and sunshine may be a problem this time of the year but just thought I would pass along the tip. Hope it works for you.
