I've had a Specialized Allez Double for two seasons as my re-entry level bike. I'm thinking of selling Allez and taking up with a girlfriend in Celeste - i.e. a Bianchi - I'd like one with an Italian drivetrain, so will have to cough up some extra dinaros to make that dream come true. Loved early 80's Centurions! Awesome bikes.
I ride a Trek Y-Foil. Say what you want about a bike that is 11 years old, but down a hill,, there was not a bike mentioned that is faster. The lookk of my beloved Y is something that gets not only comments, but envious looks from others who also wish they were riding a piece of art. It rides like a dream, but, does not hammer up a hill like the new Madones I have test ridden. I would not trade my Y for anything. My children have already started to say that they want it when I stop riding.
