Alright ppl...i found this computer i didnt even know we had in my basement and it needs a bad ass upgrade...so im thinking of buy 3 x 256mb SDRAM's(highest it can go) and maybe speed it up. Then a hard drive and run UBUNTU on it. Then a 8mb video card (highest it can go). IT MIGHT COME OUT TO LIKE 50-60 BUCKS IF I BUY RIGHT.SHOULD I DO IT? REMEMBER I DONT HAVE ENOUGH FOR A NEW COMPUTER.AND REMEMBER I FOUND THIS COMPUTER SO I DIDNT REALLY WASTE MONEY..HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without the service tag, I can't find the actual specs for the system. I would assume it is some what older though. I would say it wouldn't be worth the investment, but if it is a matter of finances, you might not have the option to do otherwise. You can get systems on here for about $75 to $80 which are far newer. I recently bought several and have not paid over $76 yet. Of course I could pick them up locally, which did save on the shipping charges. The ones I got were the GX280 SD with a 2.8GHz CPU CD-ROM 40GB Hard Drive and 1024MB RAM with a Windows XP Home COA. I also got a GX260 SD with a 2.0GHz CPU 40GB Hard Drive CD-RW and 1024MB RAM with a Winodws 2000 COA for under $40.

Good luck!
