Our charge port on our B130 has come loose from the mother board. Our AC cord will not run the computer or charge the battery. We have many pictures of our baby on the computer that we cant get off unless we can get a charged battery. Dell wants alot of $$$ to fix the problem...we've gotten a new laptop since this has happened but cant get our baby's pics off. Can someone sell me a charged hd438 battery or can i send my battery to someone to be charged? PLEASE HELP!

Get you an enclosure- 2.5HD IDE to USB adapter. Put the old drive in it, and copy the Pictures Folder to the new PC. (NOT SATA)

Problem solved less than $20

You could remove the hard drive from your old computer and put it in the new computer if they are the same type.

It sounds like the power jack in your old computer is bad.
To fix it you can usually find them on Ebay. Then when you get a new one you will need to take the old one out by using a desoldering iron, and then put the new one in by soldering it back on the motherboard.

We have a Dell Inspiron 1150 and we have replaced our power jack twice.

The power jacks are usually around $10.00 on Ebay.

Hope this will help you.

Do you know anyone who has the same model computer as you? Do you have some at work? If so, you could take the battery from your laptop, bring it to another computer, and charge it up. Or borrow a fully-charged battery from one of those people.

A charged battery should give you enough time to get your pictures off your dead machine. Now, learn to back up your data more often!! :-)
