Well, here is a place I thought I would start a discussion about these RARE beauties! I presently own 2 "fringe" Dart city cars that were used for police work. My 1970 was a Athens/Clark Co, GA city car with "Police Car" stamped on the bottom of the build sheet - but NO police options! The other one is a 1974 Dart reportably used by the City of Scottsdale, AZ (Not confirmed by me yet). It has 2 fender tags with the second one reading "Special Handling Car" that was UNDER the standard tag. The only options out of the ordinary on this car are the Y35 - Lease Bid Sale, Y39 - Special Order, and S13 - Rallye HD Suspension options. I am going to make an unmarked car police car clone out of the 1974. Enough of my rambling for now. IF you have a Dart police car please post any info here. Later, Bruce B. (Whocares57)
Well, that's cool...I'll talk to ya, these nayberhoods seem a little quiet sometyme....! ? That's neat, what you are doin' thar...We have a place out here called "Pursuit Unlimited" and they buy/refurbish old pursuit/police cars...Pretty big here..Hey, good luck with your project, but most of all, have fun doin' it...That's what it's all about ....!
