DOOM my DOBERMAN took a long walk of a short peir, really,at the end of the peir there was some foam which was formed by the rapids up river and was level with the wooden peir,he stepped off the peir and onto the foam...all we saw was butt and tail..i pulled him out to safety, the look in his eyes was priceless...he looked at me to say thanks old man..to this day he is leary of that peir on the Penobscoot River.it was a little funny and a little scary for us...my wife and i thought you would like this story....lets her your funny story.

This is somthing my mastiff " Hook "does every year at our end of summer party. He goes up to the little kids and looks them in the eye, which is most of the time eye leval . He then rolls his eyes back and forth from hot dog to eye contact with the kid. If this dosn't work he makes this sound like a gurgle, not a growl ,while looking them right in the face. He gets the hot dog every time, then moves on the the next kid. I finally have to make him go lay down. Very funny to see.

My Spitz, Bridget was trying to play batmitton in the backyard with us and while she was running hit a small rut in the yard, did a complete forward flip landing on her back and laid there for a minute looking around as if to say "What happened?" It was very funny to us, maybe not so much to her!
Also, my Golden Retriever, Buddy came to the rescue! We had a mouse in the upstairs hallway and my daughter had pretty much already killed it by whacking it with a broom --anyway AFTER the deed had already been done--here comes Buddy running up the stairs, grabbed up the mouse, shook it a couple of times and dropped it on the floor with a look of extreme satisfaction on his face & very proud of his heroism!!!

ok so I have a lock on my gate and beware of dog posted everywhere. my gas meter is in my back yard so each month i have to read my own meter and mail a post card to the gas co. sooooo...lol there was a new meter reader on the route 1 month and i came home from work, got out of the car and heard someone yelling for help. took me a minute to figure out where it was coming from. finally i walk to my back yard to find the meter reader up a tree with the seat of his pants missing and my Aussie laying at the base of the tree with a piece of cloth hanging from his mouth. after getting the guy out of the tree he told me he had ignored the signs and lock on the gate climbed the fence and had been trapped there for 6 hours! as jeff foxworthy would say "heres your sign" lollolol!

Hello, I have 3 dogs, Willie, Buster and Ginger. We have our yard fenced with a chain link fence. Buster and Willie would dig a hole under the chain link and take walks in the neighborhood. One afternoon, Willie and Buster made their great escape. I was home at the time and received a telephone call from the golf shoppe at a local closed subdivision with a gold course. Willie and Buster were at the golf shoppe/I went to pick them up. The gentlemen at the shoppe told me that Willie and Buster were found on the golf course, running after golf balls and carts. The funniest part is that Buster ( who is a goofy Pit Bull) took a golf ball and would not give it pick to the owner. When the shoppe attendent asked for the ball, Buster spit out the golf ball, spit, goo and all. So the guys decided to take the dogs to the golf shoppe, they all 3 rode in the golf cart. Buster and Willie according to the guys loved the ride. At the gold shoppe, Willie and Buster ate hot dogs and drank beer out of one of the cutomer's cups. The best part was when I got the 2 male dogs home, my husband realized that Ginger ( the female) dug the hole so the boys could get out. She figured, the boys are punished and she receives extra treats from mom and dad. What a crew. DSE/djordan

My little deaf Sheltie puppy, Eli and my Goldern, Emma were going for our walk when Eli came across a treasure. He picked up a baby's pacifier and walked the whole walk with it. He sometimes put it down to check out some good smells, but made sure he picked it up again and we continued on our way. He had it in his mouth correctly to boot. It was so cute, I stopped along the way to show him to neighbors in their yards. We all thought it was priceless! What a cutie!

My 10-pound shih tzu bit my husband's nose and drew blood... wasn't funny at the time of course, but according to our dog trainer, our dog thinks of me as the pack leader and my husband as the "annoying little brother"... LOL... so we're currently working on this to change that attitude of his...

I didn't think it funny at the time - especially while cleaning up the mess. I adopted Lily Belle and found out she is quite the huntress - I admit this pleases me to no end. Aggressive squirrels had taken up residence in my house years ago and refused to leave - no matter what - poison - traps - you name it. When Lily Belle came to live here she declared war on them and it was her top priority to get rid of them. She still battles them to this day. She waited - ever so patiently - weeks - by the cellar door. The opportunity came. She chased the squirrel all over the kitchen and into the laundry room. Up onto the washer and dryer - everything went flying - round and round they went. I am certain Lily Belle must think me a traitor. I opened the cellar door to let it escape. I am very certain she could have effectively taken care of that squirrel, however I was afraid it might bite her in the ensuing scuffle that would have taken place.. Let me tell you these are not regular squirrels - they are huge and down right aggressive and mean - even worst they are pretty smart too! Lily Belle was a resccue dog and apparently never did stairs. She did that evening. Down the stairs she flew - head over heels - or is that head over tail? I was screaming at that point. OMG what a melee that turned out to be. I look back and it was pretty funny now that it's over. Lily Belle has banished the squirrels to the barn that's attached to the house. The squirrels have evicted the chipmunks who use to live there. Lily Belle is working diligently on eradicating the squirrels from the barn. She takes her job seriously - it's personal with her - thankfully.

My yorkie/chihuahua mix, Gizzmo, loves to take his tennis ball and put it in daddy's shoe. Then, carry the shoe around the house. It is the funniest thing to see.
