I am the master in my home...well actually My husband is Alpha and I am Beta and then our dog and then our two kids. Our dog is 165lbs of Rottweiler and he knows that he can shove the kids around...he loves to use his butt and block hallways and doorways...it's hilarious. Can't wait to read other's replies!
My wife and I share the alpha role. I think a well trained dog is happier to be in the beta position. It's good to have rules for the dog to follow, they seem to know what is expected of them and are willing to please. That's my opinion, I could be wrong.
I'm the master in my home, but sometimes I have to change the tone of my voice to get their attention. They very often try to ignore me, but in the end I will get the job done. Edie
I have 6 Maltese I call them my furbabies and I have one skinkid (lol). They all run the house, I just live here and pay the bills... However, when I open the canned dog food, They know I'm the boss. All of my furbabies names are Lexxi, Taylor, Caesar, Sarah, Sadie and finally Hunter. They are all AKC and go from 2 pounds to 8 pounds. I'm new sorry about the ranting and raving.
