This is my very first dooney and bourke. I'm actually buying it as a christmas present (I know I start shopping early). I want to buy my friend an authenticate purse. She has a coach replica and i think she deserves more!

You've probably figured out and have authenticated by now that the Dooney you purchased is genuine :) Judging by the look of quality on this purse, I got the impression that it is a genuine Dooney. The grommets and rivets appear to be the real deal---made of brass; not some other cheap metal. I believe your friend will be happy to receive this as a present :)
