check this one out, I saw these in NYC on Canal street in the counterfeit neighborhood. I already reported this. To bad, someone has already bid $51 for it.

Dreoke, I am not that familiar with the more recent styles. I feel comfortable identifying fake vintage Dooney's (and there are a lot of those!) So, I will defer to you in this area. What factors make you think it's fake? (other than it went for 1/2 the amount wallets normally go for) Please educate me so I know what to look for in these designs. Thanks!

Well, Dooney doesn't make these with a 'colored' trim, the inside is awful, usually the real ones are solid black or tan inside, with blue or red or colored fabric. I've seen this one in NYC and also in my local mall knock-off shop where I looked at it up close and personal, definitely not the real thing. You can look at authentics on a "Dooney giraffe' search on ebay to see what I mean. When you compare the fake to the real, side by side, the fake one REALLY stands out.

Also, the 'round' Dooney button is a DEAD give away for a fake. I can't believe it sold for $51 and that ebay didn't pull if off considering I reported it.

Dreoke, I did as you suggested and made the comparison with several other "giraffe" models. I see what you mean - it looks like someone bought a fake for $51.00. The reason this is allowed to happen is because this Neighborhood has "fizzled" out and people stopped taking the time to report items. It seems it takes sort of a group effort - like over at "Designer Purses" - they get hold of a fake and BOOM! It's off because they ALL report it. I will report this (after the fact, but still reported). Feel free to bring more Dooney's here to examine - I'll be more than happy to help!

Oh, nice, sold by a powerseller! :-) And the buyer already left a positive feedback!..

Well I emailed the buyer and told them it was a fake. They can do what they want. The feedback was funny, "I love It".....that's awful when somebody doesn't know that they've been taken.

OK, You guys WON"T believe this: I emailed the buyer and told them that it was a FAKE. They got in contact witht the seller and are trying to get their money back. The seller actually told the buyer that I WAS TRYING TO GET THAT WALLET, ha ha ha that's why I was emailing everybody. How FUNNY is that? YEA I would really want that FAKe!!!!
