Hi, I have a suggestion that may work for you. True, this is not an original Elvis song as itianlianguy said, you may be able to find it on a peer to peer music share service like Limewire. This service is free. If it has been recorded on any album, somebody will have a copy of it. Then you can download it and make a cd of your own that you can listen to until you find the original. I hope this helps, Good Luck!
hi i worked for elvis from 75-77 the song you want is by charlie rich and its called did you happen to see? just before he passed elvis was discussing recording a dolly parton song called COAT OF MANY COLORS man he had me in tears when he sang it but dolly said no and of course the colonel wouldnt budge so ...... hope i helped
Boy I wonder if Dolly regrets not letting Elvis sing that song?If should could let Whitney Houston sing one of her songs, what kept her from letting Elvis sing one of hers?Would you happen to know why Vinny571?
Everyone is "correct" when they say that this song was recorded by Charlie Rich...HOWEVER Elvis did sing the first 6 lines of this song, live on stage, but never "recorded it". Pertaining to Dolly Parton the SOLE reason why Elvis did not record those (2) two songs, including I Will Always Love You, is because Colonel Parker wanted Dolly to "split" the songwriter fee to 50/50 (Colonel Parkers position was that anything Elvis recorded would be a "hit". Dollys position was that she had already registered that song and she could not reduce her fee even IF she wanted to). When Elvis found out that he was not going to record that song (note: he found out on the way to the Recording Session in Nashville) he was VERY upset. All he was told was that "it did not work out". End of story. Take care!
Hi Piperclub1941 Elvis sang on one knee as a joke "The Most Beautiful Girl" to comedian Marty Allen during a rehearsal in Las Vegas on January 24, 1974. It has been said online there is an unofficial recording on an LP named "Elvis.. Real Fun on Stage and In The Studio" I hope this helps :0)
