I'm so glad there's a neighborhood for Emmylou! Someone put together a list of ALL of the neighborhoods -- I'll find the link and post it later, too lazy now -- and that's how I found this! I wish eBay would post a complete list instead of making us guess and search. But anyway, I hope this neighborhood really takes off! I've been a fan of Emmy's since Luxury Liner came out when I was in high school. I'd like to say I've got everything she's ever done, but cripes! I've got all of her "main" stuff, but I just can't keep up with all of the appearances she's done on other artists' CDs. That girl gets around! :-) Nice to be here!
Nice comment and nice to meet you here! i just stumbled rather ungracefully into this neighborhood and hadn't known about it! i've also been a fan of Emmylou's since i first heard her on my way to work in like 1975. i pulled over and stopped the car just to listen in amazement and have been riding that cloud ever since.

My treasure, which I will NEVER sell, is a sealed, mint condition, DJ promo LP of Gliding Bird, her first album. I was lucky enough to get her to sign it after a concert in Mpls. a few years ago (she's so SHORT! Maybe 5 feet, if that!).
The fans were allowed one at a time onto her tour bus, where she sat and chatted with each one. What I love about her is that she doesn't think she's a big deal, no ego, she just loves what she does. Anyway, I brought in the album, and she said, "Oh, look, she's got the other one!" (there were only maybe 1500-2000 copies ever printed). We chatted a little bit (well, she did most of the talking, I was sort of speechless!), she signed it, and I stumbled out of the bus with my treasure. I had it professionally framed and it's hanging in my bedroom. (The framing job cost WAY more than the album itself, but it was worth it!)
Sorry to ramble, but it's so nice to talk to another hard-core fan! (So many people say, "Emmylou WHO??", which is a crying shame.) Nice to meet you!

I am so flattered , Thank you , but , I am about 99.8% sure that I am old enough to be your daddy , plus , you know me , I have a strange brain gean that kicks in at least twice a day , I'm cantankerous , very ugly , {cept for my blue eyes} sometimes grumpy and very very set in my ways , but if I were 25 { or 30? , or 40 ? how depressing } years younger , watch out !!! Yeah, I feel kinda bad about stealing from him. I can't believe nobody fought me for them! STERLING, for crying out loud! I owe him one, that's for sure.
Somewhere I have a little antique etched sterling puffy heart pendant , or charm that would match them , will dig it out one of these days and put it on a cheap BIN , might even have a sterling chain to go with it somewhere , the heart came in a lot I bought on ebay for $6.00 . sold one piece out of it for $27 and another for $18 , and still have a few good $10 pieces left , so I don't think I'll lose anything at .99 or even .01 , when the time comes I will let you know and you can have your finger on the buy it now button , may be awhile , still fighting with my scanner and I have'nt talked to it in three days , yes I have discussions with inanimate objects , and sometimes not very polite ones , not very often though and so far mostly one sided , I left my good scanner in Mich and picked up a cheap used one down here at a yard sale , $4 , the lady told me it worked but it would not work on her computer , with my strange brain gean , my first thought was CHALLENGE , so I paid her and have been a happy camper ever since , I will win !!! but it just takes time , I refuse to buy another new hp , paid over a $100 for one three months ago , had it two weeks and gave it away , the scan quality on the new ones is a joke , I talked my old one into coming out of retirement , took alot of talking though !!! Hi all; I have been signed up on this page for a long time but to be frank it got lost in the shuffle. Just found it again. As you might guess I am an Emmy fan and a collector of Emmy related item.
