i have this for engine. and i have no clue what it is . thet heads are c8ae-h but it says that it is a ford 427 but what i have also seen was that it has four barell it can not be. Well i am needing to know what in the world this engine is. i have also looked for engine codes or engine plates i have not been able to find anything but the codes on the heads. here is the website i have found the codes at http://www.fordification.com/FEcasting-numbers.htm but that is for engine block codes. so please help if possible any information will be helpful

if you have a 427 ford engine, do not sell it for less than $3500 if it is complete. It should have a forged crank and a slew of other desirable parts in it. Does it have bolts going in from the side of the block just above the oil pan? 427 engines had cross bolted main bearing journals. If it still has the tag under the coil mounting bolt, that will tell you exactly what engine you have.
