i need a lot of parts such as console for automatic basicly the whole in side so any help would be thankful and do any of you trans am owners know how many was made i know about camaros but new on the pontiac line
First of all, you might want to check out "Year One", "Classic Industries", "The Paddock", "Ames Performance", "National Parts Depot", "Performance Years Pontiac" and of course e-bay for all your restoration needs. All these sources played a part in restoring my 10th Ann. Trans Am. As for production numbers for 1974: 10,255 TAs (4664 with the 400, 4648 with the 455 and 943 with the SD455).
go to www.transamcountry.com and join, its free and those guys generally don't try to rip you off on parts. that plus their advice is usually spot on, not a bunch of ford guys telling you what they did to their stang, and it should work on your pontiac, duster, etc. 78TA is a good dude to meet, he has great advice, and depending on where you are i know a guy that has TA parts stored in his basement that he sells out of his house, he is basically an encyclopedia of TA info 67-2005 or whatever year they quit making birds hope that helps.
