Hi there, I have been on and off of eBay for a little bit trying to find my 'nitch', and well I have had success!!!! My wife and I have been raising cichlids for a while now but just recently started to breed, and have found that we really enjoy it. Currently we have around 400 gallons of tank space and about 20 species of fish (mainly cichlids), but are only breeding 6 different cichlids species. This keeps me quite busy, but I enjoy every minute of it. So I just thought I would introduce myself and see if there are any other cichlid lovers around eBay, as I rather enjoy buying, selling, and trading fish and supplies, and just hope that I'm not the only one.
Hi, I too am into African cichlids. I've been around ebay for a while, but not much buying and selling(a few tanks).Maybe you have some fish I might like to purchase. Do you ship? I'm in IL, what state might you be in? I dont breed, but have a few tanks going. Good to see others into the beautiful rift lake fish.
We love cichlids, we currently have a large pair of flowerhorns which are from China. The background on these fish are amazing. Does anyone have any personal experience with them, their mating habits, likes, dislikes? These are true mates and they are starting to nest, so we are quite excited. Would love some feedback. We have a few other breeds as well, just starting to really explorer cichlids all together.
Not alone at all. My family and I adore African Cichlds. Our problem is, we love our Devil Fish too.. but-- he tends to be aggressive with our cichilds. We are hoping to separate Diablo from the cichlids asap.
Some amazing species and colors. My son and I have our little wish list. Our beautiful fantosa just got ill -- and did not make it. We are hoping to replace him soon. We lost all our two blue dolphins.. yes .. you guessed it ..to Diablo. I envy you, wow - 400 gallon tank. That's huge. Must be a lot of work keeping it clean and all the work on breeding too. I'm impressed. Love to see your tank.
Hi ! I like african cichlids too. I have some pictures of them on my fish bowl page. Have all different kinds, I Iike my tank with lots of different colors. This is great, maybe I can learn someting new about them from everyone.
Hi Red Racer. We love having all different colors in our tank too -- but sadly -- Dibalo (our big red devil) did not feel the same way. He may have liked them - but to bully and eat them.
Eventually, Diablo will get his own tank -- When we first got into cichilds, we had no idea - our beautiful adopted Diablo, whom seemed so docile at the pet store, would devour everything. Learned the hard way, we should have read up on him.
We are crazy about him though - just won't put anything new into the tank, until we are able to relocate him.lol. We have just a few left, and we put up a good divider to protect them.
Nice to meet you. When we get a new tank, we will see what you have for sale. Love to get a new electric lemon and some dolphins again.
