I have a duplex in a great intercoastal town 20 miles south of Daytona ...no work for renters so no tenents.....am thinking about listing it as a short term vacation place.........anybody have any thoughts on do I need a license? Special insurance? can I rent it for $200 a week complete ready to live in......what do you think

Hi.... was just surfing and saw our question..... I'm no expert, but I dont think you need a license..... you have a great location for vacationers..... you can probobly get more per week...... have you heard of craigslist.com??
It's a free advertising website......list it there, and they will come...lol....seriusly though, my family from mass comes for the races every year, u also have people that will rent for bike week... ect... on top of vacationers for the winter..... good luck, be safe in this journey we call life.

You need to find out from your city or county zoning department to see if they allow short term rentals.

I would say find out...although it does sound like a great idea...you should still find out about the ins and outs of renting...Make sure you make a good week lease incase you get screwed over. "GOOD LUCK" Also indeed you've gotta check out craigslist..it is Awsome..lol.
